PROF. JOHN KURAKAR IS INTIMATE FRIEND

My intimate association with John Kurakar has provided me with decades’ experience the length of strong  pleasant experience bond of mutual affection, while I was working at NSS college Nilamel, I happend to be convenor by the Sastra Shaithya parishad . I had the privilege of utilising the originated calibre of the of Prof. John Kurakar  for the successful conduct of the programme of the science club at various colleges of  the state during 1973-to1975 His sense  of commitment and devotion  to both curricular and extracurricular activities In various  cultural areas. After the retirement from service Prof Kurkar became more busy with leading social and cultural organisations including Kerala Palliative care initiative programmes. He provided assistance or shelter to the sick and aged persons. 

Prof John kurakar’s autobiography entitled “Good Morning Doctor” is a panacca to all cancer  patients. Every word in the book from chapter one to ten comes from the heart and soul of Prof Kuralar . he himself was a major victim of multiple cancer. The book gives an in-depth knowledge of the illness and finally describes reveals from the trauma of the most painful and dragon cancer,the cruel mouth of  the dragan cancer. The whole narration is very touching to our hearts. His admirable wife  prof Molly Kurakar, tabulous son and daughter and their in-laws provided him with constant shelter of love caring ,nursing and courage. They are really  a rare orbit of God to Prof John Kurkar through out the miraculous stages disease.Prof Kurakar’s devoted daughter says “ her father faced  the battle againt  the fatal  cancer with lot of grace, patience, perseverance and also he could radiate hope and confidence to his near and dear ones ,who stood around him”. Prof Kurakar earnestly belives that this was made possible only because of his infallible faith and his loyalty to the almighty.

Finally emergency treatments at various hospitals in different cities under  the expert doctors could eradicte the roots  of the deadly cancer from the organs and at  last Prof Kurakar enjoys life of Re- birt, like  the mythical bird  Phoenix.

Prof Kurakar is a pioneer in leadership qualities’ His humility, simplicity and friendliness made him a  role  model to his students and friends alike. His various contributions to the social activities, education, culture, religion, United Religions Initiatives, interfaith services,   Palliative care are highly laudable.  He is a prolific writer andgood Samaritan s too.

I express my deep gratitude to  Prof John Kurakar for his affinity shown towards  me. Let  God’s mercy and favour bestow upon him and his merciful family abundantly.This will enable him to obtain sufficient strength fo face any  un expected  future challenges  of life boldly  and courageouly . Then acceptance of the inevitable becomes easy .’
